Joel & Danie: Married April 25th, 2026

On an overcast April afternoon in Arlington, Joel and Danie gathered with 60 of their closest friends and family members at The Arlington Treehouse to celebrate their wedding day. From exchanging vows on the outdoor patio to the bubble sendoff that concluded the evening, the entire day was shared with the people closest to them. Forecasted rain held off throughout the ceremony and portraits, giving the couple a calm spring backdrop for a celebration focused on genuine connection.

Joel and Danie walked down the aisle and exchanged vows beneath the trees, joined by friends and family seated throughout the patio. Their reception carried that same intimate energy into the evening as guests packed the dance floor indoors above the trees. During the parent dances, Danie spun their mother across the floor while Joel shared a quieter moment with his own mother, who paused mid-dance to hold his face and speak to him privately.

As a photographer whose work primarily centers on corporate events, brand storytelling, public relations, and commercial advertising, weddings like Joel and Danie’s are a reminder that the same documentary approach applies no matter the subject. Joel and Danie shared that my approach to PR and event coverage was a leading reason they wanted me to capture their wedding day. Whether photographing a brand activation, a company gathering, or an intimate wedding celebration, the goal remains the same: to capture moments as they candidly happen and preserve them for posterity. Joel and Danie’s wedding at The Arlington Treehouse was filled with exactly those kinds of moments.

Woods • Peacock: Headshots and Office Work

Over the years, I’ve captured thousands of headshots for individuals and businesses alike, and while it’s true a great headshot is often your first impression, it’s only one piece of a strong visual brand. To truly market your business, you need a diverse library of imagery that helps clients understand who you are, how you work, and what sets you apart. Authentic photographs of your team in action, your workplace environment, and the day-to-day energy behind your company create a more complete story than a single portrait ever can.

Recently, Woods • Peacock, an architecture firm I’ve photographed for more than a decade through headshots, completed projects, and event coverage, reached out as they prepared for a website redesign. The goal was to expand their visual library with fresh imagery that reflected their people, culture, and the collaborative work happening inside their office. These updated brand images give them versatile content for their new website, marketing materials, and future communications, helping ensure their brand is represented consistently, professionally, and with personality.

Rubin, Madonna, & Abby - Fall Portraits for a Growing Family

It’s been a year since we’ve seen Abby, Donna, and Rubin; Abby is now two, and surprise, she’s soon to be a big sister!

At the peak of this year’s Fall colors, the three gathered at one of their favorite parks and playgrounds to bask in the sunset of 2025’s warm weather.  Abby learned she is is an expert climber, repeatedly traversing the monkey bar archway designed for kids much older than her, and took flight with Rubin tossing her skyward.

Here’s to seeing this family grow in 2026!

Gravelly Point Fall Family Portraits

The expansive greenery and waterfront at Gravelly Point in Arlington, Virginia, provides a picturesque backdrop for portrait photography with its stunning views of the iconic Washington, D.C., skyline.  The proximity to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport adds a unique and dynamic element to the shots, capturing the energy and movement of planes taking off and landing against the cityscape.

Take a moment to enjoy some recent family portraits I captured this past fall for this family’s Christmas cards, and a small set of senior portraits for their graduating avgeek soon heading off to college.
