2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro i-FORCE MAX

I recently photographed this white 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro i-FORCE MAX in preparation for sale at auction. The sixth-generation 4Runner is the first full redesign of the nameplate since the 2010 model year, though it still looks unmistakably like a 4Runner, and the TRD Pro sits at the top of the lineup. It comes exclusively with the i-FORCE MAX powertrain, a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder paired with an electric motor and an eight-speed automatic. Combined output is 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, a big jump from the V6 it replaces, and the hybrid system delivers that torque low in the rev range, where it’s useful on the trail and in traffic. The TRD Pro adds TRD-tuned FOX QS3 shocks with rear remote reservoirs, a TRD performance air intake, an electronic locking rear differential, and the Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism for more axle articulation off-road. It rides on 33-inch Toyo tires and black 18-inch wheels. Inside, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and seating remains at five. The black wheels, TRD Pro badging, and dark trim stand out against the white paint, and the lines of the new generation read very clearly.

When photographing vehicles for auction or sale, I capture a comprehensive photoset from every angle, including many more angles and details than are shown here, to meet the requirements of many auction houses.

Photographing your vehicle for auction or sale

Listings on platforms like Bring a Trailer, Cars & Bids, and AutoTrader depend heavily on photography. Bidders and buyers can’t walk around the vehicle, so the images have to do it for them. A good session covers the full exterior, the interior, the engine bay, the undercarriage, wheels and tires, badging, and the small details that tell a buyer the vehicle has been cared for. Lighting, location, and timing matter as much as the image quality. A clean, well-lit photoset also tends to bring fewer questions from bidders and more confidence in the listing.

I photograph vehicles throughout Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, for private owners, enthusiasts, and collectors, and the same approach applies to commercial and corporate fleets, branded vehicles, and marketing campaigns. If you have a vehicle headed to auction, or a project that needs strong imagery or video, I’d welcome the chance to work with you. Get in touch to start planning your session.

2008 Hummer H2

Winter isn’t generally the most friendly time of year to photograph your vehicle, but snow makes things pretty as long as you can keep it off your paint!

This excellent condition Hummer in the final year of the H2’s production run is going up for sale soon, and I captured an exhaustive set of photos for its sale on auction platforms like Bring A Trailer.  It’s been a very long time since I was last in a Hummer, and capturing this example reminded me of why people love them so much - very comfy in any seat, and spacious with room for all your stuff to spare.

Lexus GX 460 Overlander

In late 2019, I attended Lexus’ Experience Amazing Drive Event.  It was the last car event I attended before the pandemic struck, and until that point, surprisingly my first experience with the Lexus marque, despite all my other involvement with the auto enthusiast world.  This event was geared toward their luxury, sport, and daily-driver / grocery-getter offerings, so the GX was notably absent.

Based on the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Lexus GX brings the luxurious comfort and attention to design detail to the a formidable off-road abilities of the N210 and later N280 chassis.  Because of that one-two combo, the GX is a popular choice among overlanders, who modify their flagship Lexus SUV to handle even rougher terrain when the dirt road ends, camp out under the stars, and do it all in comfort regardless of how far away from asphalt you are; The Lexus GX lets you explore and always feel at home.

This particular Lexus GX 460 is currently for sale on Expedition Portal (at time of writing).
