Hani and Rita were married at a sweet ceremony in Chantilly, Virginia, surrounded by family and friends who gathered for the occasion. After exchanging vows and rings, Hani and Rita joined me at a few locations for portraits celebrating their two years dating, engagement in March, and now newlywed status. Congratulations Hani and Rita!

Nick and Yasuko travelled from Japan to share their marriage with Nick's family in the United States, while hosting Yasuko's family who made the trip from Japan to join the celebration and congratulate the newlyweds. Nick and Yasuko both teach English classes to children in Japan, and quickly fell in love while teaching together. The couple also had a traditional wedding ceremony in Japan, where they have now returned to begin their lives together in marriage. Nick and Yasuko are very fun and easy-going, and were a blast to photograph! I know everyone will look back on their wedding for years to come, and here are some highlights of their big day!
All photos from Nick and Yasuko's wedding will be made available for viewing and print orders on my client site here.
Kelly and Vince tie the knot! Friends and family flew from all over the country to join in on Kelly and Vince's wedding, and spend some time visiting Washington, DC. In addition to posting a sneak peek into Kelly and Vince's wedding, I am also happy to announce the launch of my new client area of the website; a place where clients and their friends and family can go to order prints and lots of other goodies... all from the convenience of your favorite web browser (or smartphone)!!! Visit the client area, and look for Kelly and Vince, at www.jdbphoto.com/clients!
I'm proud to announce that my photography is now listed on WeddingWire.com, and has earned itself WeddingWire Rated 2011!
This comes as a bit of a late announcement; this actually took place several weeks ago, but some more recent photography for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has kept me busy lately. I can't show you quite yet, but it's going to be cool!

I've wanted to start using the blog for quite a while now, and have put off doing so with the intention of accumulating several blog stories to post at once just to start things out... but, alas, time has not allowed for this, so I'm going to cut my losses, and begin posting here with just this first singular post, and I will quickly have other posts to fill the void. It's time to stop putting it off. So without any more talk, here is a preview of newlywed Tim and Jennell's wedding.
